This project is the elevation of a small one-story house, in the commune of Les Clayes-sous-Bois, in the Paris region. The existing concrete structure was raised by a new structure entirely in wood.
The idea of the project is to make the first floor much more open and to provide all the common living rooms necessary for the future expansion of the family living there. The first floor is therefore open to the large, densely planted garden. A new wooden terrace is created in the extension of the living/dining room in order to open the living space to the outside.
The three new bedrooms are all on the second floor, as well as a large shower room. The basement is accessible from inside the house to create a new storage and laundry space for the family.
